Mellilah is one of Seattle's leading belly dancers, specializing in Egyptian, folkloric, and American style belly dance. Mellilah currently performs professionally for restaurants, corporate events and private parties throughout the Puget Sound area, specializing in American and Egyptian belly dance, cane, sword, and veil. In 2007, Mellilah began delivering the very first singing belly grams; a classic singing telegram with a twist!Mellilah performs as a soloist and often partners with a live Arabic band, drummer, and other dancers. She has been featured in many of Seattle's restaurants and large-scale stage productions and is a member of theBlue Lotus Dance Co. Mellilah is the co-producer of "Jewels of Egypt: Dances from Afar" and "Return to Cairo," two monthly dance showcases, featuring local dancers and a live Middle Eastern band.Mellilah has completed Hadia's Professional Middle Eastern Dancer Teacher Training program, Level 1, 2 and 3. She teaches private lessons in her Mountlake Terrace studio and group classes Bothell. Additionally, she holds a group fitness instructor certificate from the Fitness Institute of Fort Lauderdale, Florida, a B.S. in Education, and a minor in music.
